Navy and Natural Entryway Catchall Basket
Details & artisan story
The Navy and Natural Catchall
Deep navy through most of the body — the kind of blue that reads as almost black in low light and opens up in daylight. Then at the top, the weave changes. Navy and white woven into a grid, the two colors crossing each other at regular intervals until the surface becomes a pattern that the basket built for itself.
The grid isn't printed. It's structural — two differently dyed fibers following the geometry of the weave, meeting at every intersection, creating a border that marks where the basket becomes something more considered than a single color.
Navy below, grid above. The transition is the detail.
Same footprint as the Cobalt and Natural — 10" x 5", entryway sizing. The right depth for the things that need a place without needing to be put away. Keys, mail, the small daily accumulation of a life being lived.
Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Keep from prolonged moisture. Each basket is unique — the grid where navy meets white will space itself slightly differently in every piece, because the intervals are counted by hand.
10" x 5" — Hand-dyed sisal — Handmade in Machakos, Kenya.
