Hudhurungi Shoulder Basket
Details & artisan story
The Hudhurungi
Light pink through most of the body, the color of something beginning. At the base, a band of red — concentrated, grounded, the same warmth turned up. The transition is small but it changes the bag's whole register, the way a single darker note changes the mood of a room.
Cylindrical. This is the detail that sets it apart from everything else in the range — not a bucket, not a tote, not a structured rectangle but a tube, which is a harder shape to weave cleanly and a more distinctive shape to carry. It sits differently on the shoulder. It holds differently in the hand.
Black leather strap. The dark against the pink is not subtle and doesn't try to be.
7" x 10". Compact and deliberate — the bag that carries exactly what it needs to and looks better for it.
Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Keep from prolonged moisture, store somewhere dry. Each bag is unique — light pink dye sits differently on every fiber, so the tone will shift slightly across the surface and between pieces.
7" x 10" — Sisal and leather — Handmade in Machakos, Kenya.
