The Sand Floral Appliqué
The Machakos highlands have a particular color at midday — warm, dry, somewhere between gold and earth. That's what this basket is dyed to. Not a color chosen from a swatch, but a color the region already knew.
On top of that warmth, floral forms applied by hand. The same second layer of patience as the natural version, but here the flowers and the base are in conversation — both warm, both quiet, one just slightly louder than the other.
A plant lives inside it. The outside looks like it grew there too.
Comes with a plastic liner to protect the weave from moisture. Wipe clean with a damp cloth and keep from prolonged water exposure. Each basket is unique — the sand tone and floral placement will vary slightly, because the hands that made it are not a machine.
