There is something quietly radical about a Kenyan artisan weaving a pattern that a Scandinavian design studio would be proud to have made. Not because it's imitating anything — but because clean lines and negative space are not a Western invention. They are what happens when any tradition gets refined enough to know what to leave out.

Black and natural sisal. Lines that move across the surface with the kind of deliberateness that only comes from counting threads. No color to hide behind, no texture to distract — just the pattern and the craft holding each other up.

The most contemporary basket in the range. Also the most traditional in its discipline.

Comes with a plastic liner to protect the weave from moisture. Wipe clean with a damp cloth and keep from prolonged water exposure. Each basket is unique — the linear pattern will have slight variations in spacing and weight that no machine would allow but every hand inevitably leaves.
